Lost Key

This is a general May Day

I was obliged to reformatte my drive due to a virus. I lost all including mGlider. I have bought this about 2 years ago and I have no more the original key. i have been un able to contact Realm Software that do not appear to be listed in the Vancouver yellow pages, and that do not answer E mails.
Can anybody put me in touch with these people? if they exists .Do they have an address , a phone ?

I've tried to get my intraday charts working for about three days now. LiveCharts works by itself, but it stopped working in mGlider. There is also no longer a way to get the password from the "export" funtion in LiveCharts, as it appears to have been removed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Update 2/23/08:

It's still broken. Intraday charts are now impossible to use. It appears they have upgraded LiveCharts to a 2.0 version. The export function has been removed, so there is NO way to get the password needed to properly setup the login/password info for mGlider.

Autohide Error

I have a slight problem.

I moved my window grouping to the left side of my chart tool. So, I have a toolbar on the left with "Projects", "Watch List", "Shapes", "Time...". It's been working great like this for three weeks.

Today, however, I managed to get it stuck on autohide. Unfortunately though, autohide shows, but instantly hides. The end effect is that whatever window I roll-over expands, then contracts instantly - before I get a chance to click on or see the menu expand completely. I can't use any of the controls on the menubar. I can move the menubar. I'm in trouble here.

I have been getting this error when trying to update some of my stocks

The underlying connection was closed: the server committed and http protocol violation.

this is for stocks that I have been using with mGlider for some time now.

Any progress on the yhoo update?

Problems Saving Data/Crashing

I've recently 'upgraded' to Vista and at first mGlider seemed to operate fine, but lately it's been crashing often. When I reload the program, my saved projects are no longer there... I then reload them from my backup files, just to have it happen all over again. I've uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. Grrrr. Any insights?

Moving Averages

Here are a couple of quick steps to work with Moving Averages. mGlider supports Simple Moving Average (SMA), Exponential Moving Average (EMA) and Moving Average Envelopes.

How to add/delete Moving Average.

Make Indicators sidebar visible by pressing SHIFT+F4. To add a moving average input up to 3 values for SMA and up to 3 values for EMA. To delete - clear the value from a text box.

How to adjust Moving Average

Move a mouse cursor over a description of a moving average, right click and select "Properties". You can change length of MA (number of bars), color and line width.

First of all you need to create your account at opentick. Your account allows you to request delayed prices free of charge and you only pay exchange fees for real time data.

If you are going to use opentick as your main data provider then you should configure it as a default data provider. This will save you a lot of time as you use mGlider.

After your account is created you should configure opentick data provider in mGlider:

If you're only interested in delayed data then leave server information as it is. If you will be working with real-time data then the configuration should look like:

Yahoo Finance changed data format of historical data available for download and we're now in a process of making changes in the software. Meantime you can use MSN Money as a data provider.

Technical Indicator Williams %R

Is it possible to provide more options to choose on the technical indicator like Williams %R with %K and Smth. these parameters will give different dimentions on the analysis along with fibonacci tools...
At the movement we got %K but if we add Smth values it will be helpful... like one available in Quotes.com chart.

hello administrator,
under the sidebar-shapes(Object) section, can the shapes listing be more specific, so as to include time frequency information as well (5 mins/ hourly )? This would be quicker and easier to identify each and every shape with the similar name, for example when 2 circles are used concurrently.

Missing Data

Sometimes when you look at a graph of a security you might notice some price bars are missing for a particular date/time range.

mGlider doesn't filter out any price data. If there is a gap in dates then this is how a data feed was provided and you would have to follow up with a provider for the data feed as to why there is a gap. Usually the reasons are: extended long weekends and a temporary halt in trading of the security.

First of all there is no free Intraday data provider supported by mGlider (a), so you need a subscription to a commercial data feed like Quote.COM LiveCharts or eSignal.

Great program, demo-ing right now...

At the risk of over-complicating things, 3 things that would be a great help for me:

1- A seperate vertical line function.
2- The ability to clone trend-lines, triangles, etc... weight loss pill (By holding Ctrl-Key down, etc...)
3- Some way of counting bars between 2 verticals.
