align Channel shape problem

Submitted by Ands on Thu, 2006-03-30 21:12.

Hello
I have a little trouble to work with the 'channel' shape.
1. First I have a difficult time to align the baseline with the selected 'points.
I assume the baseline is the broken line. if I move the shape around to have the baseline on the bottom, it gets stuck in the horizontal position. If I move it around , the baseline moves to the top. I am not sure how to work with it correct, so it will align correct with the selected points.
2. If I want more than 3 trendlines - how can i create them i.e. 0.618, 1, 1.618, 2.618
3. The trendline goes over the whole screen, can I make them shorter, in case I would like more than one section with different channel parameter.
4. I am not sure, in property, what the 2nd tier does, would this be the extension like I would like to do on (2)
thanks for any help

Greetings,

1. Two points of the base line always stay in their hemispheres: north and south. This is not a problem as one point always be behind or in front of another point (horizontally), so the points can connect any two price bars on the chart.

2. Right now, every shape can have up to 3 ratios only. We will increase this limitation in one of the next versions. Right now, you can have 2 Channels with their base lines against the same points and different ratio values.

3. It's not possible right now.

4. 2-tier ratios are ones with different values than the standard ones (1-tier). Here is more information: Fibonacci Ratios.

Regards.
